How to pay a lower USDT fee in TokenPocket
In TokenPocket you can make a USDT TRC-20 transfer cheaper in two ways: turn on the built-in energy rental in the transfer screen, or rent energy to your address in advance. Both replace burning TRX; the difference is price and convenience.
TokenPocket’s built-in rental is convenient for a one-off transfer: you enable it in the send screen. Energy rented in advance pays off when you send several transfers in a row, need a full day, or your server buys energy via API. Compare the total TRX per transfer — that is the fee.
How to send USDT from TokenPocket for less: 3 steps
- Copy your TRON address. Open your TRON wallet in TokenPocket and copy the address from the Receive screen — it starts with T. Make sure the TRON network is selected, not another wallet in the list.
- Buy energy for that address. Paste the address on the buy energy page, choose the number of transfers (65,000 Energy covers one transfer to a recipient who holds USDT, 131,000 — to a new address) and the term. Energy usually arrives within seconds after payment.
- Send USDT. Once the energy has arrived, send USDT as usual. If the address already has energy, do not enable the built-in rental in the send screen — otherwise you pay for energy twice.
Buy energy before you send: if a transaction already went through with burning, or failed with OUT OF ENERGY, the network does not return burned TRX.
