How to send USDT from Bitget Wallet for less
To keep a USDT TRC-20 transfer from Bitget Wallet from burning 7–14 TRX, rent TRON energy to your wallet address before sending. The network spends the energy and you pay only for the rental.
Bitget Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, and energy is delegated to its address like to any other. Do not confuse it with your Bitget exchange account: exchange withdrawals are paid by the exchange and need no rental. How to send USDT from Bitget Wallet for less: 3 steps
- Copy your TRON address. In Bitget Wallet, open USDT or TRX on the TRON network and tap Receive. Copy the address starting with T. This is the wallet address, not an exchange deposit address.
- Buy energy for that address. Paste the address on the buy energy page, choose the number of transfers (65,000 Energy covers one transfer to a recipient who holds USDT, 131,000 — to a new address) and the term. Energy usually arrives within seconds after payment.
- Send USDT. Check that the energy has arrived and send USDT. If the fee on the confirmation screen is still about 7 or 14 TRX, the energy was not enough — check the volume and the address.
Buy energy before you send: if a transaction already went through with burning, or failed with OUT OF ENERGY, the network does not return burned TRX.

Wallet and exchange are different addresses
Energy only works on the address you sign the transfer from. A Bitget exchange deposit address belongs to the exchange: delegating energy there is pointless.
New recipient
If the recipient has never held USDT, you need about 131,000 energy. For a regular transfer between wallets that hold USDT, 65,000 is enough.
