- Buy energy for that address. Paste the address on the buy energy page, choose the number of transfers (65,000 Energy covers one transfer to a recipient who holds USDT, 131,000 — to a new address) and the term. Energy usually arrives within seconds after payment.
- Send USDT. Once the energy arrives (usually within seconds), send USDT from the Tangem app and confirm with your card as usual.
Buy energy before you send: if a transaction already went through with burning, or failed with OUT OF ENERGY, the network does not return burned TRX.
What to know about Tangem
Public address only
The address is all a rental needs. Never enter your recovery phrase or access code on websites or in bots. If an energy service asks for them, or wants you to connect your wallet and sign an unclear transaction, it is a scam.
Keep a little TRX
Energy covers most of the USDT fee. But the wallet may check for TRX on the address, and Bandwidth beyond the free allowance is paid in TRX. A small TRX reserve prevents failed attempts.
Exchange addresses will not work
Energy only works on the address you send from. It cannot be used on exchange deposit addresses, because the exchange controls withdrawals there. With Tangem this is not an issue — the address is your own.
